Club Notes -1st Janurary 2018

The Hurling and Camogie clubs held their Christmas night out in The Ramblers Rest Killyon on the Friday night last. An enjoyable night was had by all. Congratulations to Joe Mannion who won ‘volunteer of the year’. Thanks to all those who attended and supplied the spot prizes.

The annual hurling Puc Fada took place on St. Stephens Day from the clubhouse to Killyon where refreshments were served. It was a great family fun day and all proceeds were in aid of Rath development. Thanks to our Vice Chairman Declan Murray and his team for organising it.

A big congratulation’s to Keith Nugent and his fundraisers who raised €4515.00 for Movember and The Irish Cancer Society.

Well done to Colm Gath on his impressive debut with Offaly senior hurlers against Westmeath in the Walsh cup on Saturday last.

We welcome Paddy Kirwan, as coach for 2018 and we wish him and the players the best of luck in the year ahead.

Lotto numbers drawn for Saturday 30th December were 2, 23, 24 & 25. There was no jackpot winner and one match 3, won €150. Tracy Mannion c/o Deirdre Gath, promoters prize Martin Ryan. Next week’s jackpot is €11,450 and team 5 is on rota.
