Club Notes -29th July 2019
Senior ‘B’ Hurling Championship
Drumcullen 2-12
Clodiagh Gaels 1-15
This was a slow burner which caught fire in the last quarter. Teams were level at 0-6 each at the break and while Drumcullen trailed by four at the three-quarter stage they showed great character to force their way back and a goal from John Murray and a smasher from Colm Gath put us ahead by three. Clodiagh Gaels fought back with a goal to level and while both teams had chances to win, a draw was probably a fair result, Full credit to Noel Cooney who stood in when the appointed referee failed to appear causing a 35 minute delay to the start. Team: E. Gath, D. Mahon, D. Guinan, B. Kinsela, J. Cashin, P. Guinan, D. Maher, R. Gath (0-2), K. Fleury, J. Murray(1-0), D. Gath (0-1), M. Kennedy(0-1), J. McCarthy, Conor Gath(0-7), B.O’Meara. Subs: H. Ryan, Colm Gath(1-1), P. Cashin, D. Spain.
